About the authors:
Marie Kressin is a native of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and a graduate of Hendrix College. She also earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Other than the one year she lived in Finland, where she worked as an English-speaking teaching assistant, and the time at Sewanee, she has lived her entire life in Arkansas, molded by the Ozark mountains and the Arkansas river valley. In the fall, she will return to her alma mater as a member of the English Department faculty at Hendrix.

This event is free and open to the public. The Faulkner County Library would like to thank Michael Blanchard, editor of SLANT, the international journal of contemporary poetry published by the UCA School of Language & Literature (SLL), for fielding all of the poets for the Poetry @ the Public series. We would also like to thank all of the poets who have taken the time (and distance) to join us for these sessions.
