Doors open at 8:00 pm for socializing and enjoying other writer's company. At 9:00 pm we lock the doors and we put pen to paper! Or fingers to keys, whatever. At 9:00 pm WE WRITE!

Join us for a thrilling overnight writing marathon where creativity knows no bounds! In just 12 hours, we aim to collectively write 50,000 words. Whether you're a seasoned author or a budding storyteller, a poet or a screenwriter, this is your chance to push yourself in a supportive environment. Enjoy a steady supply of snacks and drinks to fuel your creativity as well as games and activities to keep the blood pumping. Grab your pens or laptops, and prepare for an unforgettable night of inspiration and collaboration!

An assortment of food and drinks will be provided at no cost to attendees, but please feel free to bring your own. Registration is required to attend. This program is for 18 and up, no exceptions.

RULES FOR THE EVENT:
Safety: Once the doors are locked, participants must remain in the library until the event closes. If participants must leave the designated spaces for any reason, they will not be allowed to come back in.

Noise: Between activities, participants must maintain a quiet and respectful environment to allow everyone to focus on their writing. Feel free to discuss ideas and collaborate but keep the noise levels to a minimum. If someone is too loud or disruptive in other ways, they will receive a warning and be asked to relocate to the chill room for a period of time. Accumulating three warnings will result in the participant(s) being asked to leave the event.

Personal belongings: Keep your items secure and do not disturb others’ workspaces.

Behavior: All attendees are expected to maintain appropriate physical boundaries and behaviors at this event. Do not physically touch other participants without their express consent and keep encounters with fellow attendees appropriate for public work spaces. Attendees are expected to keep conversations and discussions of work civil and encouraging. Violations of this rule will result in being asked to leave the event immediately. Bullying in any form will not be tolerated.

Drugs and Alcohol: The use of drugs and alcohol is strictly prohibited during this event per the rules set by Faulkner County as well as maintaining a safe and productive environment for all participants. Anyone caught with drugs and/or alcohol, including vapes, will be asked to leave the event immediately.

Weapons: No weapons of any type are allowed in the library.
The Conway library serves as the headquarters library for the county sytem of six libraries as well as the Faulkner County–Van Buren County Regional Library.
